Ontario Power Generation Gull Bay Shoreline Erosion Project

Project Details

Client: Ontario Power Generation
Location: Gull Bay, Ontario

At the Gull Bay (KZA) First Nation Community on Northern Lake Nipigon, 2 hours north of Thunder Bay, Barclay installed 1.4 kms of Erosion Control Revetment for Community Shore Stabilization following years of flooding resulting in bank and shore erosion. This project involved important Environmental Protection (SAR), production of an estimated 100,000 tons of aggregate from the community quarry, as well as engagement and utilization of Community Members.
