Job Title: Construction Truck Delivery Driver
Salary Range: $65,000 – 70,000 annually
We are seeking a Construction Delivery Driver & Tool Room Assistant to support our Fleet and Facilities department. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of construction materials, tools, and equipment between job sites, suppliers, and company facilities. The role also supports basic inspection, handling, and inventory control of tools and equipment.
This position is based out of our Stoney Creek, Ontario office.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Transportation
- Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with traffic laws and company safety standards
- Deliver and pick up materials, tools, and equipment between job sites, suppliers, and yard facilities
Vehicle Safety & Maintenance
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues immediately
- Maintain clean and orderly vehicles (interior and exterior upkeep)
Tool & Equipment Inspection
- Inspect tools and equipment before transport and use
- Identify and immediately isolate damaged, unsafe, or non-operational items
- Tag and report defective equipment and remove from serviceable inventory
Returns & Inventory Support
- Receive and inspect returned tools and equipment from field crews
- Identify damage, missing parts, or wear
- Support tool room organization and basic inventory tracking
General Support Duties
- Maintain delivery logs and inspection records
- Assist with yard organization and general labour tasks
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Ontario Class G license (Class D is an asset)
- Clean driving abstract
- 3+ years safe driving experience preferred
- Construction, logistics, or equipment handling experience is an asset
- Experience inspecting tools/equipment strongly preferred
- Forklift certification is an asset
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willing to work overtime and extended hours when required
