Complete Civil Works and Foundation Package for New Ball Mill Installation

Votorantim Cimentos, the world’s seventh-largest producer of cement, is expanding its St. Mary’s Bowmanville plant, one of six facilities serving the Great Lakes region. As part of this major expansion, the Bowmanville plant is installing a new ball mill to increase their capacity to convert clinker into cement.

Barclay Constructors is providing the concrete foundations for new clinker reclaim and slag crusher material transfer building, conveyor foundations, electrical duck bank and the ball mill building. All together the project requires 4,400 m3 of concrete and 493 MT of rebar.

Minimizing disruption to the active cement manufacturing facility is our top priority, requiring strict safety compliance, strategic planning, and daily coordination with ongoing plant operations to eliminate any process disruptions.
