Project Details
Client: Votorantim Cimentos, St Marys Cement
Location: Bowmanville, Ontario
Barclay Constructors is providing the concrete foundations for new clinker reclaim and slag crusher material transfer building, conveyor foundations, electrical duck bank and the ball mill building. All together the project requires 4,400 m3 of concrete and 493 MT of rebar.
Minimizing disruption to the active cement manufacturing facility is our top priority, requiring strict safety compliance, strategic planning, and daily coordination with ongoing plant operations to eliminate any process disruptions.
Barclay Constructors was chosen for this project because of its proven track record in delivering complex industrial construction projects within active operating facilities. With over 75 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, automotive, mining, earthworks, and heavy civil construction, Barclay brings the expertise, resources, and execution capabilities necessary to safely construct critical infrastructure while maintaining the operational needs of the facility.
One of Barclay’s most notable strengths has been their ability to proactively manage changing site conditions while maintaining project momentum. On several occasions where unforeseen [conditions were encountered], their team quickly adjusted work sequences, reassigned resources, and identified alternative work fronts to minimize delays. Rather than allowing issues to impact overall progress, they have consistently worked with the project team to develop practical and timely solutions.”
