Field Coordinator, Northern Ontario

Reporting to the Project Superintendent, the  Field Coordinator will assist the Project Team in managing daily site deliverables. 

This position is based out of our Northern Ontario office located in Sudbury, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Site Operations: concrete take-off, ordering and placement, Building layout (basic knowledge of surveying principles and equipment, understanding construction documents and requirements, communicating information)

Contract Drawings & Specifications: Interpret construction documentation as it related to contract drawings, details, sections, floor plans and specifications

Schedule: Ability to understand construction schedules, and monitor progress

Construction Methods & Practices: Assists the Superintendent with all field activities as necessary including progress reporting and photos, quality control and assurance

– Health & Safety: Ability to enforce Health & Safety policies and implement procedures with a zero-tolerance attitude to ensure a safe workplace

Educational & Professional Requirements:

– Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related engineering or construction management discipline

– Previous construction experience an asset

– Strong and effective communication skills including verbal, written and technical/computer skills

– Problem solving skills

– Positive relationship building abilities with both internal and external stakeholders

– Driver’s license and access to a vehicle is REQUIRED
